Somalia: Voices from the Front

Author Col J. M Owuoth

Somalia Voices from the front-2 Somalia and Operations Linda Nchi is the powerful setting for this book which stands different from the many official versions on the Somalia theatre in that it records the introspective voice by individual KDF soldier of his experience in the campaign. The author draws deeply from his own experience in the theatre, his psychology background and deep spirituality. The book therefore is an essential read for anybody who has interests in the profession of arms, Psychology, Historical Somalia, in Terrorism, in Spirituality or who needs to delve deeply into the lure of radical Jihadism as fronted by the Al –Shabaab of Somalia. Colonel (Retired) Joseph Mulowa Owuoth is a combat veteran from the Somalia theatre. Post retirement, the author is now a director of a private security company and a counseling psychologist. His written works have periodically appeared in the East African weekly magazine.
