As a Clinical Psychologist, Author, and Community Mental Health Advocate, I am deeply committed to making emotional well-being accessible, relatable, and empowering—especially for youth, underserved communities, and faith-based audiences. With several years of hands-on experience in counselling, training, research, editing, and wellness outreach, I’ve worked across diverse settings: universities, correctional facilities, youth centers, and communities across Kenya. My work ranges from individual therapy and group interventions to school-based mental health programs, psychosocial trainings, and national advocacy. Currently pursuing an MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nairobi, I hold multiple certifications in gender-based violence response, HIV services, trauma-informed care, and program facilitation. I’ve served as a counsellor at the University of Nairobi Wellness Center, mental health programs coordinator with Kenya YMCA, and visiting trainer with organizations like Shamiri Institute, SCAD, and Taifa Teule. I'm also the founder of Sound Mental Health, a youth-led movement using school outreach, nature-based experiences, digital content, and storytelling to promote healing and break stigma. In addition to my clinical and community work, I serve as an Editorial Intern at Story Moja Publishers, where I engage in editing, author support, story development, and evaluation of manuscripts—ensuring clarity and emotional impact in storytelling. This role blends my love for mental wellness with literary expression. As a published author, I’ve written and co-authored several books and anthologies, including The Hows of Anger, African Daughters, Strong from Within, Thrive, and poetry collections like The Healing Face and Letting It Go. My writing aims to simplify mental health concepts while creating space for reflection, hope, and identity reclamation. Core skills include: ✔️ Counselling and psychotherapy ✔️ Mental health education and training ✔️ Trauma and GBV support ✔️ HIV testing and psychoeducation ✔️ Public speaking and media influence ✔️ Editorial and manuscript development ✔️ Program design, research, and implementation I’ve been honored to receive awards such as Author of the Year (2023–2024) and recognition as an Authentic Content Creator and mental health contributor on platforms like Seito FM. Through every session, workshop, page, or post, I remain dedicated to building emotionally intelligent, stigma-free communities—one conversation, story, or safe space at a time. 📧 Email: Kinyanina51@gmail.com | 254796037994
