As at now, devastating fires are burning in the Amazon rainforest, record-breaking heatwaves are scorching cities around the world, and small island nations are being swallowed by rising sea levels. The harsh reality is that climate change is not a distant abstract concept, but an urgent and pressing reality that is affecting the lives of millions of people, animals and ecosystems across the globe. But as we bear witness to the impacts of climate change, we must not forget that it is not just a natural phenomenon, but also a human-made crisis. Climate change is the result of a system that values short-term economic gains over the long-term health of our planet and its inhabitants. Those who are least responsible for this crisis – the poor and marginalized communities around the world – are often the ones who bear the brunt of its impacts. This is a wake up call from the writers in the bid for the fight against climate, and global change. The authors of this anthology are trying to figure out how life is getting worse, and more unbearable in the midst of the dangerous fungus of global warming, and climate change effects. The authors have proven reality in uniting as writers and writing about this enemy. Therefore, this anthology, and many more that will be coming will see various writers from all over the world honor the CLIMATE CHANGE AFRICA SUMMIT 2023 through writing as many anthologies as possible, and planting as many trees as our lives will sustain through God's Grace.
