This Author offers a crucial but often neglected perspective on the character of one the most celebrated actors of biblical wisdom corpus. The prologue of chapter 1-2 presents Job as an impeccably righteous man, who, inspite of his trepidations remains submissive to God. Contrary to this, Chapter 3 and beyond shows that Job exhibit human weakness as a result of his pain. He complains vehemently, he uncreated the light, the separation motif, the day, human life, and finally attacks the Sabbath. Job is the only Bible character who seeks to take God to court. His lips yielded poor concepts of God. Job violated many things including Hebrew Poetic meters, significant literary styles, mockery of some Bible parts, and even, an invention of a dubious metrics in Job 6:2. This author links Job's agitation with the present Nigeria context and proposed an economic approach to reading the book of Job.

Book summary
The author has conducted studies on the book of Job, using a synchronic lens to glean some current lessons for Nigerian Christians. The very first chapter has put in place a setting for the contents, providing knowledge on the nature of the book of Job. Chapter two hacks to the fact of the book’s fascination among conservative and contemporary scholars. Chapter three exegetes Job 3, the most scaring chapter of the book, chapter four shows how dangerous Job’s lament of chapter 3 of his book is to the economy of God. In chapter five, some miscellaneous traits of Job’s response to his suffering are identified. Then, chapter six delineates the implications of his actions against the creation. In the same chapter, Job’s actions are linked with Nigeria context, and the effects are accordingly shown, then solution to human mistreatment of the universe is proposed. Chapter seven contains a viable approach on how to read, engage, understand and interpret the book of Job. Chapter eight wraps up all of the work together, pointing out the author’s contribution to knowledge and offering recommendations.
